Vesper and Silence

Music for solo double bass

Many years ago a friend of mine invited me to listen to a tape
in which two bass players, Jimmy Garrison and Reggie Workman played. The song was “ India”, by John Coltrane.

From that moment on, after hearing that music and coming into contact with that sound, I decided that I would have played the double bass.

It was one of those moments that if we are willing to listen, can change the course of our lives. From then on, this instrument has always been a remarkable and heartfelt companion.

Vesper and Silence is dedicated to the place that hosts us, where music echoes.
Vesper and Silence is a musical journey through composition and improvisation.
Vesper and Silence is an audacious game which passes through multiple languages and leads us to the discovery of the diverse souls of the instrument.
